The Chinese have a saying; "May you live in interesting times". Well, their wishes seem to be panning-out. The Obama Administration has heretofore provided some "interesting times", and more is on the way.
For those of you who have not seen V for Vendetta, Norsefire is the fascist Party (think Nazi Party) running 1990s England, after a catastrophic plague (which they engineered) required martial law (as planned). Norsefire's leader is continually seen on gigantic screens throughout London, railing against various issues and villifying the undesireables. The party's officials are corrupt, methodical sociopaths with blood directly, or indirectly on their hands. The Minister of Media (my term) has absolute control over information and communication, and is part of the cadre in power. The populace is completely controlled on all levels by this evil Party. A biologically enhanced dark hero, in typical Hollywood messianic style, takes-on and triumphs against seemingly unsurmountable odds (Luke Skywalker-vs-The Empire, or Neo-vs-the machines & Agents Smith).
Well, folks, we now have a man in the presidency, who's almost continuously present on most government-controlled news media (CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, NY Times, ...). He is always railing against 'bad guys' like G.W.Bush, Wall St baddies, Detroit's Car Execs, Bank execs, and also against undesireables such as Tea Partiers, Republicans, gun owners, doctors, religious people (unless they bash America), and now Arizona Lawmakers, and anyone else audacious enough to speak-out against him (I guess I'm one of them now). In a recent college commencement speech, he railed against any information routes and news alternatives that he hasn't absolute control over. His cadre includes avowed Communists and Socialists, Tax-evaders, Elitist Autocrats and various other sociopaths and haters of personal liberty and freedom. He has divided Americans by punishing some groups (like Seniors who largely depend upon Medicare, or successful businesspeople), and rewarding others (Welfare recipients, Community Activists, and any potential Obama voters). The parallels continue, and I could go on, but you see the point.
However, what I don't see is any Hollywood-contrived Messiah to take-on Obama's evil, and he knows that. Only a collective movement, with individuals ready to sacrifice their lives and "sacred honor", can stop this totalitarian megalomaniac and his cadre of sociopaths, and their zombie-like supporters. If 100,000 people were to march into DC and wrest control of the senate and Whitehouse, would that do it? How many would it take? How many would have to die to liberate and save this nation? Would the army shoot us, and any of our children, or would they have to relent? Better still, they could support us. If our Justice Dept can elect to NOT enforce laws re; border enforcement, then why can't the military elect to NOT protect the Congress, Senate, or the man occupying the same seat as Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, etc? These are just questions and musings...NOT a battle cry (I don't need 3 Black Escalades descending my driveway at 3:am, and being thrown into a cell, as if this was Russia). I am no Messiah, and I won't take the first bullet to depose our dictator; I'm not that desperate...yet.
